Malocclusion and children

If you are worried that your child may be developing malocclusion, you should arrange for a visit with an orthodontic specialist.
The orthodontist will make an evaluation of your child to determine if he has a malocclusion. Among the evaluative procedures that will be done to your child include an evaluation of the child’s oral , facial and functional features. Photos of the face and the intraoral area will be taken to assess the situation more closely, x-rays from a panoramic and cephalometric perspectives and an impression of the teeth and the child’s bite.
These are just some of the methods that will help the orthodontic specialist make a specific plan of action for the child if he needs correction.
